As she was about to leave the wedding last night Debbie approached our table.

Debbie: Have you guys seen my purse?

(Brief pause. I checked under the table.)

Debbie: It’s beige.

Adonna: Is this it in your hand?

Debbie: Yep. And I’m the one driving.
